Wednesday, July 27th, 2005+ listening to: stockholm syndrom by muse, imagine by a perfect circle
+ mood: tired, sleepy & grumpy
+ every heard of the phrase "same shit different day"? well that’s not really what i feel heheh. its more like "so sleepy, can’t be bothered to do anything so i’ll just send emails all day". ive just had a busy and tiring two weeks and the week hasnt even finished yet. i wish it was friday though. friday always goes so fast just like how "time goes so fast when youre having fun"… bullcrap!
Friday: went over to pick karl up from work cuz he was planning to drink. so i was sober driver. we went to a going away party for their receptionist at work. shes really nice and everyones going to miss her. shes moving to australia because her son is joining a rugby league club over there. good on her for supporting him. anyway, we had drink (i only had 1) and there were heaps of people who came. it was really good. played some pool and i suck, but i sunk a few balls haha! the plan was to go to town and hit the clubs after drinks. so a few people left and we decided we were going to go home and meet people in town. so karl being drunk cuz he hasnt had alcohol for ages, had a nap for about 20 mins while i changed. we were supposed to meet people in town but ended up just with 2 other guys, which was cool with me. got dropped off so i could drink. went in and out of a clubs/bars. we went into one cuz one of the guys was trying to hook up with this chick but she just kept on talking to her friend so he said "stuff this lets go". the guys we were with decided to hit shortland st to see ministry of sound, although i don’t know them, but we only had 1 ticket between the 4 of us and the next ticket sales were not til 1am. so then we decided to take a taxi back to the viaduct which is 5 mins walk (hehe). ended up going to k’road. they wanted to go into a nude bar and it was up to me if they were allowed to but really i didn’t care. i mean ive seen a naked body before and it wouldnt be a surprise to me. that didn’t happen so we just kept walking til we got to ponsonby and they decided that the bars werent appealing there at all. so took a taxi and went back to the viaduct. had more than a few there so i was feeling tipsy. by the time we finished there, it was time for the ticket sales. i got piggy backed by one of them across the street lol. i didn’t care i was a goner. waited in line for about 2 hrs then decided to go home cuz really karl & i didnt care if we saw the music thingy. we left the guys there.
Saturday: went snowboarding for a few hours but karl ended up giving these two chicks snowboarding lessons cuz they didn’t have any idea what to do. went to leasa’s party which was very interesting. havent seen or talked to her for ages. we lived with her for a little while last year til the beginning of the year so she had someone with her at her flat until her sister came up from blenheim. lots of colourful people ;).
… and thank goodness its friday but the weekend again which usually goes so fast. how can i stop the weekend clock from ticking?

oooohh oooohh the foo fighters are coming down under on 26 nov. tickets are going to be available on 8 aug, only a few days. the thing is, i have this wedding to go to which is during that day. it starts in early in that afternoon but it could go on for ages. i mean filipino weddings are usually late (and im not generalising here). i was thinking of leaving early to go to the foos concert but.. but.. i could also go down to wellington and see them on the day before that, friday.. and again another dilemma, the wedding rehearsal is on that day too! bugger! oh what oh what can i do? lol
idiot box… fascinated
Thursday, July 14th, 2005+ mood: refreshed
+ listening to: stereophonics - dakota (you make me feel like the one)
+
man i like the new stereophonics single. the music is so relaxing. i always have the tv on in the bedroom even though im not watching or paying any attention to it. but speaking of tv, the new doctor who series started showing here in nz last week. ive never really watched the old show before and everyone at work (is so much older than me) raved about how it was so scary when they used to watch it back in the day. even the radio station, the rock, that i usually listen to on the way home from work have been having doctor who quizzes and i dont really understand what the fuzz is about. there is even an organisation and conferences held. i guess shows and movies about aliens have been modernly common and people/fans do get into it.
+
there’s this other show that i watch and i reckon its the best ever, funny car show called top gear. just like doctor who, its a british show and for some reason i like british rather than american shows. so tastes and perspectives do change during the course of a person’s lifetime, but i digress. its a show that identify pros and cons of different types of cars. i admit they are a bit biased on the show and leans more on european rather than american cars purely on the basis that american cars are not good to drive around corners. the new series of the show isnt being aired on nz television yet but i have been watching it ;). check it out. it might broaden your horizon on the knowledge of cars not only with japanese imports but also the very expensive ones, which are more like my type.
winter is here, finally
Wednesday, July 13th, 2005+ mood: bored
+ listening to: atreyu - you eclipsed by me
+ i know, i know… even in summer i, or should i say we (karl & i), have been spending so much time in the snow. the cold weather feels so good compared to the humid and sticky feeling that you get during hot seasons. i hate the hot weather, and it is odd because i come from a place that had the very thing i hate, pretty much 3/4 of the year was hot and dry. the rest would have been the season of rain and monsoons that caused a lot of floods and yet i still remember most of it to be humid and sticky. ugh!
+
anyway, this place called snowplanet is an indoor ski field where i spent half of my summer. it is pretty cool having it just 25 minutes away from home cuz you went into this huge freezer, then come out feeling like you’re in an oven, baking. but these days, outside the big freezer was almost the same temperature (-5 c) as it was inside. of course im exaggerating cuz it never gets that cold in auckland. there are some photos of this place in my photo album > snowboarding.
+ i was so looking forward at going down at the real ski fields this coming weekend. but it turns out that it looks like its going to be crappy except sunday. we usually drive down on friday nights after work for round about 4 hours just to get there and stay with at my mum’s house. but now that she’s moved somewhere else, we’re gonna be staying at my step-grandparents. anyway, we usually don’t stay that long on the sunday cuz we have to drive back home to get ready for work the next day. *haaay* let’s cross fingers and hope the weather’s going to change so we can go down this weekend.
+ these photos were taken from the whakapapa ski field webcam today, one at 10am and other at 2pm. the weather packed in during the afternoon *:
+ these photos were taken from the other side of the ski field, turoa. these are their two snow park rails *:

Sunday, July 10th, 2005Top 5 Cheating Behaviours: (thanks to cliff)
1. When your girlfriend asks you to design a kitchen for her mum, but your an accountant.
2. When your girlfriend calls you "Hon" instead of the usual "Sweety pie".
3. When your girlfriend asks you "So what’s the weather in New York?", but you live in California.
4. When your girlfriend says "Darling it was great last night", but you actually stayed in the office for overtime.
5. When you find a condom in your girlfriend’s drawer, scented.
+ i’ve always thought there are more than 5 but don’t you think the ones listed above makes a lot of sense?

Sunday, July 10th, 2005+okay, it’s time to learn some tagalog words. it sure would help me a lot since i am not that great at it, so here’s something that you might be able to put in your cv or resume if for some weird reason you have it all in tagalog ;). see which one you are, enjoy!
